Bulk Tank Monitoring System

FarmChem offers a complete line of tank monitoring solutions including level sensors, tank monitors and telemetry equipment designed to meet virtually any bulk liquid inventory management need regardless of size or location of tanks. In addition, Tank Vision provides a secure Internet based monitoring service so you receive timely tank level data on all your tanks regardless of their location.

Whatever your tank level monitoring need, Farmchem can help you meet it and provide the service and support to ensure trouble free, cost effective inventory management solutions.

FarmChem’s Tank Monitoring System is the automatic measurement and communication of liquid levels in bulk tanks regardless of location. Each tank monitoring system has four (4) individual components; Sensors, Monitors, Telemetry, and Data Management.

Sensors

Sensors

The first thing you need is a sensor. What kind of sensor depends on the liquid in the tank. Every product has a different chemical makeup that will ultimately determine the right sensor for you.

Tank Monitoring

Monitors

The second thing you need is a monitor to convert the signal into a manageable format. In this case, the monitor tells us how much liquid is currently in the tank.

Telemetry

Telemetry

The latest technology relies on your wireless network to send the tank level data to a central server. Our servers are physically housed in Mason City, Iowa.

Data Management

Data Management

Finally, inventory data must be available to multiple decision makers to enable them to better manage their inventory across all locations. It is important to provide this data in a form and format, with appropriate analytical tools, that allows the value of the data to be fully realized. The same data can be shared with customers and/or suppliers as well to ensure that all supply chain participants have access to the data they need to achieve their inventory management goals.

The necessary backend systems to support these analytical tools are all built in house by our IT development group and are hosted on Microsoft web servers and use Microsoft SQL Server to store your data. This allows us to make improvements and provide new features without relying on slower outside development consultants. We are currently and continually working on new features for the website and other backend systems and thanks to the power of the Internet you gain these new features seamlessly without any need to hire someone to install or maintain any software.
